Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren't very new after all. ~Abraham Lincoln
The Wereling: Wounded
By Stephen Cole

'The Wereling: Wounded' is the first in an exciting trilogy of books. It tells the story of Tom, a boy who didn't want to spend his summer with his family. Washed down the river, he finds himself held in the island home of the Folans family. The Folans are Weird, with a capital W. When he finally discovers the truth about why he has been kept there, he ends up on the run. He is running for his life, his humanity.

I loved this book because it is really gripping. The brilliant start to the trilogy, I enjoyed the trill and excitment in it. The plot-line really flows, and you never really know what will happen next, although it is never random. It is quite scary, but really engaging. The characters are really well formed, and you can really get to know them. The cover is perhaps a little off-putting, but the inside is absolutely fantastic.
